I got Rusty in December 2002, a 60 lb. Akita/Shepard mix. He had been abused by teenage boys and tormentated with a shock collar. After 2 months at the Maxfund and rehab by Arlene he was ready for a loving, caring, wanted home preferably with a single female - that be me!!
He has an older sister that he adores and we go hiking, snow shoeing and recently I bought a bike and he trots along while I slowly peddle to the park.
He is a true love! and loves love. In 1 year I will retire and we are moving back to Oregon with 1 1/4 acres for him to roam. And he thinks he is happy now!
