Happy Tails/LittleBit

Adopted in July 2003

Leota Burns writes: We spotted Little Bit at the MaxFund and decided that she was just what we needed to fill the vacancy that we had at our house. However, when she was brought in to the MaxFund, she was pregnant and had to stay until her puppies were born and weaned. So we waited and finally the day came when we could introduce her to the other member of our family, Ginger, a dachshund. Well, they just more of less ignored each other for a few days.

Then the "mama" in Little Bit took over and she now takes good care of Ginger. It is really fun to see her clean Ginger's face and ears with her tongue. Tinger just sits there and you can almost hear her say "Oh, that feels so good...do it some more". (Ginger is 10 years old and we got her from a dachshund shelter). In addition to getting caregiver for Ginger we also received a real live paper shredder...especially toilet paper.

Little Bit and Ginger give us many hours of joy in our years of retirement. I think it can be said "Pets are sometimes the only family members we have the opportunity to choose".
