Dear MaxFund Friends,

Wanted to update you on the AXEL saga. Jeremiah has changed his name to Gideon.  We wanted something Biblical and this name really seems to fit this little pup...  We are adjusting to him and he is adjusting to us... We are enjoying him very much.  He doesn't like baths, shovels, but loves to be clean and the snow... He doesn't like sudden movements, but will sneak up behind my husband and quickly lick him on the pinky finger before dashing away. 

He loves to play with Fletch, our 3 year old black lab; they play so hard that they snore at night.  We are training them to eat in their kennels, but leave the doors open a bit so they just have to push with their noses to get out, but he still just sits in his kennel until we pull the door open for him.  He is loving the biscuits they get after going outside potty... He loves running in the fenced yard and seeing the Bambi on the other side of the fence.  He doesn't bark much, but that is a good thing.  He loves to play, but not with the ball... I think that is rapidly changing... He sees how much fun Fletch is having playing catch and/or fetch and has begun grabbing the ball and even teasing Fletch a few times...

We love him very much and I think that he loves us too... he snuggles up with Jeremiah or me on the couch every evening... he loves the praises and the loving touches... He has adjusted to the Nutro--the bit of food we have left that you sent home with us will be coming back to you, hopefully, this Tuesday when we bring him up for his checkup.... Thanks for this very special gift...
