Lucky Mutt Strut: Come Join the Fun!

  

After a one-year hiatus, the Lucky Mutt Strut, a 5k fun run and walk to benefit MaxFund, is back! This year, we'll be at Cheesman Park on May 11, 2013. In addition to the run/walk, we're planning lots of fun activities for the whole family, human and furry!

Although pre-registration is closed, you are welcome to come and join the fun! Just show up at Cheesman before 9:00 a.m. and we'll get you registered.

When: Saturday, May 11, 2013

Where: Denver's Cheesman Park

Time:

7:30 am - 8:45 am check-in/registration

Runners - 9:00 am (rain or shine) Walkers - 9:15 am

How Much: Event Day Fee:  $35.00

Here are some event logistics to help you maximize your fun:


Parking: Street parking is available around Cheesman Park. Please be sure to check the signs to make sure parking is allowed. Make sure no driveways are blocked, and note that some spaces are reserved for persons with disabilities. Your best bet may be to find parking along the Cheesman Park Esplanade ( 7th to 8th Av/ Williams to High), subject to any temporary restrictions that may be in effect.

Where in the park are we? Just head for the Pavilion at Cheesman, located in the center of the park. You'll find us in that area. A map of the event can be viewed and downloaded here: LMS updated map

Inclement weather: We're sending up paw-rayers for a perfect spring day, but this is a rain or shine event!

Water, water: Cheesman does not have any drinkable water taps. We're bringing in several big jugs of water (thanks, Eldorado Springs Water!) for humans and canines, as well as some bottled water (thanks, Safeway!), but it might be a good idea to bring some water of your own, too.

Yes, we have t-shirts: Due to popular demand, we will have event t-shirts in sizes S through XXL for registrants!

Race route: This is a fun run/walk, but for those of you who are serious about walking or running an actual 5k race, please note that you'll need to go around the race route twice.
