Aren't I CUTE??? Yessiree, Madam! I'm cute on the inside as well! I'm a very sweet and out-going dog who traveled all the way from New Mexico to find my great new forever home.

Here I am, Great New Forever Home! I'm loving, active, happy, and VERY handsome (as you can clearly see from my photo). I'm house-broken, house-trained, and just wonderful!

No young children would be best for now since my rear leg and hips, which are sensitive due to an old injury and recent surgery, must be touched very gently and I am wary of small children. However my old injuries do not slow me down at all and I love running, jumping, and playing even though I'm supposed to be taking it easy.

I am in the MaxFund Champs Training Program where my volunteer-trainer tells me she is teaching me some more manners and helping me concentrate. I am a bit puzzled about this since I am always very nice to people, only ever want to please, and she just mistakes my enquiring mind for lack of concentration. Everything is so exciting and my tail just keeps wagging. You can ask my Champs Trainer (juanita_ladyman@hotmail.com) about me; I happen to know she thinks I am a great dog. Care to meet me? I'm a bit shy at first, but I warm up MIGHTY quickly! Ask to meet me... I'm Jake!

Update! I have recently undergone hip surgery! I'm doing great, but I have to take it easy for the next few weeks. I'm finished with my physical therapy and I am medically cleared to begin my new life. I still need to be relatively calm and work to increase the use of my hip. I'm hoping for a foster home to begin strengthening my hip and to work on being in a household again. Both of these will only increase my adoptability. Want to meet me? Want more information?
