You know what I dream about all day? I dream of having a home where I can sit on the couch with you and curl up in your lap. Because I am in a cage, I never have an opportunity to sit in a lap. But I desperately want that and dream about it all day long. Do you want a lap cat?
I was found as a stray with 5 kittens. The kittens have found homes, so now I am here alone. I was a stray in the neighborhood for 9 months before someone finally brought me here.
I am shy, so I hang out in my cage and just watch the world go by. I used to hang out in my litter box to feel less scared. Now I have gotten braver and stay in the main part of my cage. But I am not brave enough to come out of my cage yet. How about if you just come get me, so I never have to try to be social with the other cats here? I think I'd be fine with cats in a home, so if you have others, I'd be ok. There are just so many here that it scares me.
I don't demand attention. But I will let you pet me. Don't think I am unapproachable just because I am hiding in my cage. Just come pet me, and I will let you. In fact, I kind of like it. I am a loving girl who is just intimidated here.
Please take me home. I deserve to live in a house with people who love me. People pass me by, though, because I don't make a big stink about getting attention. I hope you will not be someone to pass me by!
